Dress Rehearsal is held at our show venue - Central Middle School in Eden Prairie (8025 School Rd, Eden Prairie, MN 55344). Make sure to park in the Performing Arts Center side of the building. Enter Door #2.
Dancers will arrive in their full stage look with hair (ballet bun), make-up, costume, and tights. There is no dressing room space available on this day. Dress Rehearsal will also include professional pictures by Vick Photography - ordering info coming soon1
>Arrival Time is 15 mins prior to rehearsal time (READY TO GO!)
>Pictures (individuals only) will be optional to order online in early January.
>Closed Auditorium: Parents will drop-off & pick-up their dancer at the auditorium door. You are welcome to stay or leave the school. A TV monitor to view the stage is available to watch in the school lobby.

PARKING:
Make sure to park in the Performing Arts Center side of the building. Enter Door #2. Overflow parking is available on the other side of the school.

Show 2 = Sunday, December 15 (1:30 pm)
Dancer Arrival Time: 1:00 pm
Show 3 = Sunday, December 15 (4:00 pm)

DANCER CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT:
For the safety and security of all our dancers, we will be allowing only one adult to walk the dancer to the green rooms backstage. At drop-off, the staff member checking in your dancer will ask for the name of the person who will be picking up the dancer. You will also receive one wristband which needs to be worn by the adult who will be picking up. Only the adult with the wristband will be permitted backstage for pick-up following the show.
SHOW LENGTH:
Each show will last approx. 50 minutes with no intermission. Dancers will remain backstage the entire show, and participate in our ending pose with the full cast on stage at the very end! After the show please send only your designated "pick-up person" backstage to your dancer. The rest of your group is welcome to wait in the lobby to greet the dancers.
PARENT VOLUNTEERS: If you signed-up to be a parent volunteer in the green room backstage or as an usher, you have received a confirmation of your time and responsibility via email from Miss Kirsten! Please check-in at the ticketing booth when you arrive.

SOCIAL MEDIA: Our shows are being professionally recorded by Mr. Video. To maintain professionalism, respect of others around you and the safety of our dancers, we ask that you do not take pictures or video during the shows. Our lobby will have plenty of photo-op areas for you to take celebratory pictures of your dancer (with friends & family) after the show!

All seats are assigned through the tickets you have purchased. Auditorium doors open 20-25 minutes prior to showtime.
Be sure to have your tickets pulled up on your phone, so you know where your assigned seats are. Search your email for a “Dance Recital Ticketing” receipt or email [email protected] if you cannot find your tickets. You can also stop by the ticketing booth at the show! There are tickets still available, which can be purchased at the door ($20).
Dancers performing in the show do not need a ticket. Children (4 & under) that can sit on a lap do not need a ticket.
Souvenir Sales are now closed, however, any extra items will be for sale in the Nutcracker Sweet Shoppe (auditorium lobby) on show day!
Order Pickup: All orders that have not been handed-out yet will be available to pick-up at the Nutcracker dress rehearsals & performance (Dec 14 & 15). Fresh flower bouquets are only available through pre-order & can be picked up at the show.

Nutcracker Placements 2024
Picture Day - December 14:
On December 14 we will be holding our Nutcracker Dress Rehearsals & Picture Day (courtesy of Vick Photography) at Central Middle School - Performing Arts Center (Eden Prairie). Dancers should arrive fully ready to go in costume, tights, and hair & make-up. Each group is assigned a slot where they will rehearse on stage and take their picture. All costumes have been distributed! Please try the costume on right away & hang in a garment bag until Dress Rehearsal. Dancers were measured at auditions in September for these costumes — there are no exchanges of sizes due to the short time frame, however, you are welcome to arrange alterations for your costume if necessary.
Costumes include tights & accessories. Dancers must have Capezio Luna Leather Ballets (pink for girls, black for boys). These can be sized and ordered in our Platinum store.
Congratulations to our dancers who have been in all 5 of Platinum's Nutcracker productions! These dancers will be receiving a 5 year award at this year's show. If you think this is your dancer's 5th Nutcracker and your name is not on the list below, email [email protected].

We recommend make-up, but it is not required. Make-up enhances a child’s facial features under stage light. We sell optional stage make-up kits in our store, but any make-up/colors can be used. We recommend starting with one color of eyeshadow on the lid, then blush and lipstick.
Ticket sales open Mon, Nov 13 at 9:00 am. You purchase tickets through
Dance Recital Ticketing.
You will receive an email with a purchase link & instructions by Nov 11. There is an initial limit of 8 tickets per family. Tickets start at $16 (dancers performing in the show do not need a ticket).
